Worship at a "Lutherpalian" Community Shepherd of the Desert and St. Paul's worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m., in the Lutheran (ELCA) and Episcopal traditions, at the "Lutherpalian" campus, 1301 E. Mountain View. Parish and community life reflects our mission statement of "Two Churches, One Mission, One Family", in worship, learning opportunities, Bible study, outreach, service, and fellowship.
Tuesday Study Group finds us delving into the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Opportunities for youth to learn, worship, and grow are organized throughout the year. We will soon begin our summer workshops for: Altar Guild, Worship Assistants, Readers, and Acolytes. Please call the church office for more information. Sundae Funday is the 3rd Sunday of each month and includes ice cream treats and games during coffee hour. Bring a friend!! Our music is a collaborative effort by both congregations. Worship is enhanced by members sharing their gifts of voice and instrument talents. Hymns are chosen to complement weekly worship and the message brought forth by Mary+. Of course, special services are designed for worship around spiritual celebrations such as Reformation Day, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter Sunrise Service, and more. Acolytes, gift bearers, greeters, lectors, worship assistants, musicians, youth, and hospitality all play a special role each week in worship for our Lutherpalian Community. Tuesday Knights Men's group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Our Ladies of Faith meets the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. We invite you to be part of our faith community by joining us at worship, ongoing events, and opportunities to serve our greater community such as Free Lunch and Laundry Love. |
